Dear Parents and Carers,Welcome to our last letter of 2009! 

A few things to update you on before the holidays …

 

Xmas Fair – Friday 11th

We are having our usual session until 10.30am when Santa will be visiting! Please arrive at this time to be with your child at the fair. All non-Friday children and parents are welcome too!

We still need donations of raffle prizes and tombola prizes so please sort through your cupboards and see what you can find! Cakes & biscuits for our cake stall also welcome!

 

Holidays

We are closing for Christmas on Friday 11th December and re-opening on Wednesday 6th January. 

During the holidays our room is being redecorated, new kitchen and office areas installed and brand new furniture and carpets arriving. So things will look a little different on your return …… We can’t wait!

 

Family Tax Credits

Sara has attended a course on the above so if anyone needs some assistance or advice, Mary can arrange for Sara to speak to you.  Some employers offer childcare vouchers in lieu of wages – we can now accept payment of your fees by these vouchers.

Fees

We are having a small fee increase of 25p, making the session fee £6 from January. This is to cover our increased wage costs arising from the rise in the National Minimum Wage in October. I hope you will agree that £6 still represents excellent value for money.

 

Car parking

Some parents are STILL driving into school grounds to collect their children. For everyone’s safety, please park your vehicle outside the school gates and walk in. St Mary’s have told us they will be noting down car registration numbers of offenders and informing the police – YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

 

Children’s files

Every child has a file of their art work, photos etc of the activities they have been doing each morning. We would love to share these with you so please ask Mary to show you your child’s file (those parents who have looked at them have really enjoyed seeing what their little one has been up too!)
