Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to our first letter of this new school year!
I hope your child will settle into Bramble Hedge quickly and that they will enjoy themselves and learn lots of new things!
Our half term theme Our topic for the first few weeks will be ‘All About Me’.The children will be building on their existing knowledge about themselves.
Could you please send in a couple of photos of your child and other family members to make a family tree picture. We will need to cut these photos up so please don’t send in photos that are very precious!
Term dates The term dates are as follows: The last day of this half term is Friday 23rd October. We return on Monday 2nd November.
Committee meeting Bramble Hedge is run and managed by a committee and we need YOU!Without parents support by being on the committee we cannot run.The Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 22nd September so please come along and meet the existing committee and join in the running of the pre-school!
Spare clothes
Our children love playing in the water tray but often end up very wet! Could you please send in a spare set of clothes so that we can change your child when they need it! We have Bramble Hedge t-shirts and sweatshirts for sale! See Mary for details!
Swine Flu Please follow the advice set out in the attached letter regarding what to do if you think your child has swine flu.
As with any illness, please do not send your child to pre-school if they appear unwell or until 48 hours has passed after the last bout of sickness / diarrhoea.
Car parking
Please remember to park outside the school grounds and walk in with your child. This will help to keep the school grounds safe for all the children both in Bramble Hedge and those at St Mary’s. Also, please do not park in the school car park when collecting your child.
Start and finish times
Pre-school starts at 9.15am and finishes 11.45 and we would ask parents to bring and collect their child at these times. It is not possible to open earlier in the mornings since many of our staff have their own children to take to school, so we are politely asking for your cooperation with this.
