Policies - Authorised Absences

It is Bramble Hedge Pre-school’s policy to bill every child for the sessions that they are booked to attend at the beginning of each half-term.

Should a child need to be absent for any reason, then the following will apply with regard to paying for the sessions booked.

We will not bill for recognised religious festivals that fall within term-time, so long as the absence is no longer than 1 day in duration and the absence has been agreed 2 weeks in advance with either the Treasurer or the Manager. Examples of religious festivals which we recognise are Eid and Diwali.

We will continue to bill when the child is absent due to short-term sickness, holidays etc. When the absence continues for more than a few weeks, then the parent/carer has the option of continuing to pay the fees, or choose to dis-enrol the child from Pre-School, at which point no further fees will be due. Should the parent/carer wish the child to return to Pre-School at a later date, then a place will be offered subject to availability of places.
